I literally sat there sometimes hoping that the dude who coughed in his hands, and then served my popcorn to me ( YES, HE REALLY DID THAT), slipped a poisonous liquid in my drink, so I could stop cringing. We haven’t had a feel for Mark Ruffalo as The raging green monster with an addiction to smashing things and those movies were terrible to be honest…I deleted it out of my mind as soon as I watched it.
AVENGERS AGE OF ULTRON FREE STREAM NO SIGN UP MOVIE
You could argue that we had a hulk movie in the past, The Incredible Hulk 2008 and Hulk 2003. I think this was essential because, although the majority of the characters (Thor, IronMan and Captain American) have solo movies, sequels etc, characters like Black Widow, HawkEye and The Hulk still remained in the dark. In the movie you get a few glimpses of the characters backgrounds and their worst fears. So I believe I pretty much ruled out realistic when I bought the ticket.
But because It was a superhero movie, I decided to rule out the unrealistic critique in my mind and just focus on it for what it was: A movie about a human experiment, a man in a flying suit, a God, radioactive monsters and their battle against a robot on the verge of annihilation. At times it seemed unrealistic, but it was definitely cool to watch as Thor battled all of the Ultrons on my screen. Although it was no Channing Tatum in Step Up one, the fight scenes were well executed and showed the calibre of a superhero in the world of The Avengers. What I also loved, was the choreography in the movie. I’ll get into the nitty gritty and start tearing Ultron’s strings a new one in the next post. I’m not saying whether that has happened at all, because as I have said, this is the completely spoiler free section of the review, but what happened in the movie made me see Tony Stark in a new light. Because of the events in the first Avengers and the mental damage it inflicted on Tony Stark, as seen in IronMan 3 from all the flashbacks he had, you thought that going back and seeing all the same people again would make him remember everything that happened before. The script/visuals and the comfortable setting allow you to see that these people aren’t the same rogues that came together in the first movie. There was a specific scene – you will know it when you see it – where they all joke around about Thors hammer and it’s set in a very calm environment where we can see that at the end of the day, they’re just ordinary people people who want to take it slow (couldn’t resist). I loved the fact you could see that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), Natasha Romanov (Scarlett Johansson), Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) were a genuine team now. Let’s start off with what I absolutely loved. First things first – you thought I was going to say “I’m the realist”… I hate the internet – I’m just going to start this whole review by saying that I absolutely loved this movie and the characters in it…minus Hawkeye… But nonetheless, this review will be spoiler free and hopefully, will help you understand what I go into the movie theatre hoping to see from a sequel of a massive (the first movie grossing $623, 279,547/£414,194,283.66 in September 2012) franchise. The Avengers: Age Of Ultron, the story of a robotic terrorist with a fetish for Pinocchio songs was released today on the 24th of May 2015 on a sunny, yet cold day in England.
